The incident happened between 0830hrs and 0900hrs on Sunday 24 February on
It seems the couple had been driving in Hornsea when a man in a blue Vauxhall Zafira passed them and the husband of the 52-year-old made a gesture to the Vauxhall driver which seemingly caused offence.
The Vauxhall driver is then alleged to have followed the couple until they stopped in outside an address in
A verbal altercation took place between the husband and the Vauxhall driver and it began to get physical which prompted the woman to step in to try to diffuse the situation. The Vauxhall driver then pushed the woman causing her to fall to the ground where she suffered grazing and bruising to her elbow and a lump to the rear of her head which required hospital treatment.
The man then left the scene.
