POLICE are appealing for information in connection with a robbery which happened at around 2130hrs on Weatherill Street in Goole on Tuesday 11 June 2013.
A 61 year old woman returned to her home address when she was approached by two teenage girls who attempt to engage in conversation with her.
The woman are then alleged to have assaulted her and stolen a pack of cigarettes and a tin of rollup cigarettes from her handbag before making off along Weatherill Street. The roll up cigarettes were in a tin with an image of a brown Corgi dog on the front.
The 61 year old woman received treatment by paramedics at her home address but did not attend hospital.
One of the offenders is described as a white female, aged in her late teens and around 5ft 7ins tall with short, straight brown coloured hair in a bob style. She was wearing black coloured leggings.
The other is described as a white female, of a slim build and with burgundy coloured hair tied up in a pony tail. She was wearing a dark blue coloured tracksuit top and bottoms which had a stripe running down the leg.
