Sometime between 0845am and 0945hrs two bricks have been used to smash two of the cars windows in order for the thief to take a look at what was inside a black bin bag, which had been left on display on the back seat of the car.
Nothing was stolen, but the owner has now been left with a £300 repair bill.
Monday on the Foreshore, was a bright and beautifully crisp morning, with lots of dog walkers passing apparently. If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious please call Humberside Police on 101, quoting crime number CM/2031428/2014.
As you can see thieves do not care what damage they cause and many vehicle owners have fallen foul of leaving a coat or a handful of loose change on view which a criminal has caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to take a look at or move to check nothing is hiding underneath it.
